Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage said in an urgent statement on Wednesday 8-10-2008 that large groups of settlers, rabbis and Israeli politicians, made several incursions and mass marches
in Al-Aqsa mosque that included religious seminary in the holy Al-Aqsa mosque courtyards under heavy guard of Israeli police who prevented Al-Aqsa guards from approaching the mosque or the Jewish groups. Al-Aqsa foundation closed some sections of Al-Aqsa mosque, and at the same time appealed to the Palestinians especially in Jerusalem to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa especially in the early morning hours when repeated incursions take

Al-Aqsa Foundation crew was present and monitoring when seven groups of Jewish settlers between 5-90 persons storm Al-Aqsa mosque. Members of these groups were touring specific sites in the Al-Aqsa in special clothing and performing religious rituals, rites and seminary.
According to Al-Aqsa Foundation, the march began by storming Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Maghareba Gate, walking around all over campus, while the majority of the intruders went barefoot. The incursions and mass marches in Al-Aqsa mosque has escalated recently. The Palestinians renewed their call to intensify the presence in the campus starting this night to protect
al-Aqsa.
Director of the Waqf in Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammad Azzam al-Khatib al-Tamimi strongly denounced the raids on Al Aqsa and stressed that Al-Aqsa is an Arab and Islamic site.
